I am having a problem with a Gates computer in La Crosse. Everything is acting with about a 3 - 3.5 time delay. Move the mouse and three seconds later the pointer moves. Press alt-F4 and then return and three seconds later the computer starts to shut down. I have used the XP upgrade dvds to reinstall the entire system. Hardware profile shows everything is ok. The computer is right back to acting up. Has anyone run into this? I was figuring that reimaging the drive would have taken care any virus / malware problems.

I would appreciate any ideas.
